Adult Behavior - In conjunction with the directive issued by Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. regarding adult conduct at Pop Warner events, the Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner Conference Board has adopted to following policy:  We unanimously endorse parent meeting and parental education in all Jacksonville Pop Warner Association.  Every association is required to conduct at least one pre-season parents meeting with the parents of all participants.  All associations shall make it clear that some behavior is unacceptable, and that there are severe consequences for such inappropriate actions.  At the minimum, unacceptable behavior includes profanity, obscene gestures, verbal threats and physically threatening action.  Penalties for such action may include banning from all Pop Warner events any parent or other adult guilty of unacceptable behavior.  It may also include the removal of the offender's child(ren) due to the repeated unacceptable behavior of the parent, guardian or family member.  It is sad and unfortunate that improper behavior nation wide has reached this level.  The Conference Board asks that all of you adopt a proactive stance in dealing with this inflammatory issue.  Let us all put forth our best effort to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for the participants of Pop Warner - an atmosphere free from rude and intimidating interruptions from all adults.  Please refer to Forms and Information for Adult Behavior Rules information.

ALL POP WARNER ASSOCIATION MEMBERS,

For the past several years we have had physical violence at POP WARNER EVENTS. The Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner Board Of Directors concur additional measures are needed to insure our members refrain from getting in to physical or verbal confrontations that escalates or has the potential to escalate to physical harm or death to a person. The Grater Jacksonville Pop Warner program has a high standard to insure our children can participate in a sports program that is safe and educational. This includes being an example of good citizenship. THESE ACTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN OUR PROGRAM! The Pop Warner Board has voted to the following procedures.

1. Any person, child, parent, member, team or association that is INVOLVED  IN A PHYSICAL CONFRONTATION will be subject to full disciplinary action.

2. Any person or child that is found to be connected to a team or association that team or association will be held responsible for the actions of that person or child. This includes players, coaches, parents, relatives and association officers and members, Simple involvement not guilt will cause action. Solutions used by the GJPW Board could be but not limited to;

    A) Suspension

    B) Game Forfeit

    C) Team Suspension

    D) Team Removal from Pop Warner

    E) Playoff exclusion

    F) Association removal from Pop Warner

3) Within the next few days an organized MANDATORY meeting of all persons that are listed on a Pop Warner official roster. Failure to attend this meeting will subject the person, team and association to sanctions.

The bottom line is Greater Jacksonville deserves a crime and violent  free opportunity for the youth of our community. Drastic measures are needed to put a stop to actions that are committed by a small number. This small number of people are destroying the good name of Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner and our children are better than these incidents. Pop Warner Teams and Associations are going to be held responsible for the actions of their parents, players, relatives, coaches and members. When you go to a visiting association your association and teams will be responsible for the actions of your members before, during and after the game. Any person found to be connected to an association,  that association will answer to the individuals action at any Pop Warner event.
